traced the ticking to his primary injectors.. used a metalbar and the ticking was prominent once placed on top of the inj cover..

what would cause this... ill be swapping out his primaries with new ones... hes also been havin rough idle and bucking at low rpms...

I swear the injectors on my '89 626 2.2 ticked every day for 14 years without incident.

bad lifter Jio, have the valves adjusted and it should fix it.

i've never heard my injectors clicking (exhaust is way too loud) HOWEVER, could it be an exhaust leak (sounds close to the same) up on the turbo mani?

yeah but this is fairly loud.. can be heard outside the car..

the metalbar trick was just to isolate the source...

we thought so but was only able to isolate the noise to the primary injetor housing...

we decided to eliminate the lifters too... who needs those things.

I remember distinct ticking after I blew my motor. might even still have a vid of it somewhere...

or course I had a paint-shaker idle also...

compression check.

Thats where I start for pretty much every problem haha...

The metalbar could be picking up the tick from the actual block, considering the primary injectors are bolted right into it...
