I've replaced two stock cat's on previous integra's with like 150k+ miles on the original,...bolting a new aluminum piece to an old DP was a challenge but my friend and I can handle it.

Phinsup: I'm considering just leaving it but DP is one of the biggest reliability (with power as an added bonus) mod besides fan switch and aluminum AST which I have covered.

I might be bidding on that DP + Stock MP combo

yes if you leave the midpipe on and you get a downpipe you will definetly need a boost controller. I think having a midpipe and stock downpipe is going to do pretty much the same thing as having a downpipe and stock midpipe, so just get teh midpipe and get a boost controller

Dp, Highflow cat, and M2 will NOT give you boost creep. If it was a straight midpipe then you might have problems, but even with that setup I never had boost spikes. I think you're worrying too much, add the DP but also add an ecu, otherwise you'll go lean. It would be pointless to put a DP on and then replace the highflow with a stock cat. All you'd be doing is switching the restriction around, car would have the same results either way. Right now I run DP, highflow, and stock catback with stock ecu. Car runs a tad lean in midrange untill its warmed up very well.

Thanks Dano.

I, however, don't want any excuses. Check my avatar, I need everything perfect.

Could I get a DP and BC, or am I still going to run lean at times regardless how good I can control boost.

Perhaps I should wait till I close on another home and just get the PFC, Intakes, BOV, DP, BC all in one shot...

BTW- I have an AFR Guage, Boost Gauge, and Temp gauge to monitor these things to some degree..

Its been my experience (and I've been through half a dozen setups at one time or another) that if you modify the full exhaust you'll run lean with the stock ecu. Taking off the stock DP and especially the stock Cat really effect flow, those things are very restrictive. So really to do it perfect, save up and get a pfc before you add the DP. It makes more sense to do that and its safer.

Indeed. If this current small house closes, I'll bring in $2800. I'd say that's enough for an ECU, Intakes, BOV, BC, and DP no? If I get some used parts perhaps....

Thanks Dan, Love you.

Oh- And when you had (or anyone else for that matter) a DP (No pre-cat) and High Flow MP + Aftermarket Exhaust: Did it make the gas smell all that bad? I mean the main cat still exists as a "high flow" so it can't be "too" bad no?

Should, the only expensive part is the ecu, whatever they go for these days, ~1200 bucks? I'm not sure I'd worry about the boost controller unless you want to run more boost.

Exhuast fumes? Yeah it will be a little more potent for sure, especially if you're mixture is a tad too rich.
