I'm going NS (the NS thread has been a big help, thanks!) and I bought a block off plate kit. I basically want to remove as many solenoids as possible. So I have these two things on the underside of my UIM. One appears to be a solenoid but I can't figure out what it controls. The other is a tube that (if I remember correctly) connects to a large nipple on the intake elbow. I have block-off plates for them, but I don't know what they are. So I'd like to find out what they are before I remove them. Can anybody help me out? Thanks.

i am pretty sure you can block of the tube thats for the aws...as long as you block off the nipple on the elbow or get a greddy style elbow. and i think the other thing is the idle controller...i would keep that.

yeah that big pipe is for the aws. if you have a plate where the aws solenoid was (and i see you do) you can just take the tube off, no need for another plate. just be sure to do something about the large nipple on the throttle body elbow, i used a coolant line cap from kragen.
