yea, so after installing some new ignition wires, i went to connect the intake pipe to my throttle body, and overtorqued the top right bolt. The bolt cracked in half and now about an inch of it is left connected to the throttle body. Can I get a machine shop to pull it out and put a new one in, or do i need to order another throttle body. Comments would be appreciated

You can take a set of vice grips and take the stud out. Then just buy a new stud and you're all set.

or thread 2 nuts on the stud and tighten them against each other then use those to turn out the stud with a ratchet. you can just use a bolt in its place if you dont want to buy a new stud.

Drill it out and re-tap. Or get one of those screws that are reverse cut. (drill hole and as you tighen the screw in, the stud extracts)

ok, does the stud screw out the normal direction (left) or is it the opposite direction

Thats way too9 much work. All he needs to do is screw the thing out.

Well if you stripped the hole going into the throttle body, your method would prove effective

Just buy a new 10mm bolt with a 6/60 thread pitch.

and twist out the old one with some vise grips as someone already suggested.
