You got a reman? Hmmm... Sweet!
While we're on this.... (more dumb questions)
What's the point of break in for so long? I mean 500-1000 miles? A good days driving (maybe 40 miles?) a full warm up... Regular driving for a period of time should put the parts through the same break in as hundreds of miles, shouldn't it? I mean... for the most part it's the heat that will be doing all the work... shouldn't a day or 2 be enough? Oil will be everywhere it should... the parts should do all the expanding/contracting they need.... please explain.
I'M NOT BEING A SMARTASS!!!

turnover engine let it run for 10 min after rebuild completed (if you built your own) turn it off... change oil and filter. you'll notice metal particles from the seals scraping for the 1st time...
then go 100miles.. no boost under 3k rpms.. change oil & filter
500 miles no boost under 4.5k rpms.. change oil & filter
800 miles 5-8psi boost rev to 6k rpms
1000 miles change oil and filter.. inspect oil.. should be nice and clean, and pretty much reusable..but put in new oil and filter anyways, and have fun!
