so im drivin around today and i notice when i get on the gas and the turbos spool up, it starts smelling like gas or exhaust inside my car. i cant tell what it is because i cant smell gas under the hood, and when im cruising or not boosting i dont smell anything. im leaning towards a fuel leak but im not sure because the exhaust smells really gassy. any ideas?

 

its an fd! its prolly both!



check the fuel leaks first. if you open the hood, you shouldnt smell gas AT ALL. if you do, pulsation damper, primary injectors, etc etc.



if its only under boost, then it might be something in the charcoal cannister/pcv system, there are a few check valves in there...

 

It only happens under boost and I can't smell gas under my hood.
