Yes, I finally broke down and bought the $7 RB presilencer gasket. It did the job, but now I found out why my exhaust was always loud. I have a small hole in a pipe coming from the presilencer. It looks like a hole that somebody made because it's a very clean oval shaped hole and the presilencer isn't rusty or anything. Hopefully after a good welding job I'll be able to breathe clean air.

So that means no more good buzz when driving.

Yeah, I'll have to get high off of something else, maybe helping my fellow human being.

That brings up a question... I think I might have a small leak, but I am also thinking it could just be the way the headers sound, since I didn't have the header previously before I swaped motors.

How can I tell?

You could just jack up the car and try to see some exhaust gases leaking out. You may also feel them. I felt exhaust hitting my head. so it was easy to find. You should hear some kind of ticking if there's a small leak.

That's what I hear is some ticking... It's right under the hood. But I'm not sure if what I am hearing is exhaust pulses to through the header? It's pretty loud under the hood with the K&N Air Cleaner sounding like a huge vacuum cleaner. I surely am not going to stick my hand down there and feel for air... That sucker is HOT.

Thanks!

You may be able to smell it.

It could just be the pulses. They get pretty loud.
