as of right now my ito spec is built by ito with basically all new components it has not broken yet. if you get a NEW mazda tranny it will be nice and last a long time..... we are still working on the vosko spec version II with upgraded everything......

Damn that sounds like an awesome tranny for a steal. His tranny is really shot though and not rebuildable so either way he's gonna need a complete tranny. He found a place that'll ship one new from japan for 2175 I believe, but it's supposed to take a month and a half to ship and he's been waiting way too long already.

oh yeah I think the only stipulation with the tranny he buys it might have to be from a company or at least somewhat of a reputable business cuz he's not actually fronting the bill. His warranty company is but they did say they'd buy one for him if it was cheaper than the 3000+ mazda wanted to charge him, so maybe it isn't too much of a concern
