Just curious if there are any issues installing a 99+ Steering wheel on the older airbag system, don't want it to pop by accident.



Hopefully its all good and it keeps the airbag light off..

 

i have that wheel and i havent hooked up the airbag yet. according to guys on the other forum the wires will just work either way. you need to remove the old harness and use it with the new airbag. other than the fact that the old wires are two dif colors and the new wires are both red i dont see a problem. it just bothers me that i might screw it up and poof there goes my new airbag...

 

Keep the keys out of the ignition while working on the airbag and you should be ok

 

lol but what happens when i turn the car on...is it going to pop or not? besides i just flip the switch on my battery that way there is no juice for it to happen. i dont have a radio right now so it doesnt matter.

 

did your old bag pop out?

You also have to change the module to get the light to go out.
