F*cked Up Idle

thanx man, thats what i'm gonna need to double check things.....also, where is the FPR? i might as well make sure ive got that hooked up, cuz f*cked up fuel pressure can always cause probs

That's on the back side of the fuel rail (firewall side). Little black mushroom lookin thing with a vacuum line hooked up to it.

just started it up and let it warm up...checked ALL the places i blocked off vaccuum nipples. LIM, UIM, Y-pipe and i could not feel or hear any vac. leaks

Try to reset the ecu again... Unhook the neg battery terminal... Step and hold on the brake for 30-45 secs...



What happened when warmed up? Same ****?

once it was warming up, the idle started dropping but even when fully warm it would bounce between 1.5k-2k and it smelled funky. Tested the map sensor by pullin off the hose and it immediately fucked up the idle REALLY low and it was smoking like a ****

reset the ECU, didnt help. I'm going back and thinking about the stuff ive done....where do u plug the ACV into? i dont remember plugging it into anything since the solenoids that it was plugged into are now removed. Would that have nething to do with it?

also, what about the ground up on the pass. side on the firewall? i didnt rememebr where that one went, so i just kinda put it on the closest metal thing with a nut and bolt. Could that affect the idle that drastically?

pulled the map sensor hose off, and immediately the idle dropped to about 500rpms, bouncing, and smoking like a ****
