has anyone tried to run an external WG on the stock twins and is it worth the effort?

i'm asking this because i'm having boost creep with my race ported motor.

i know that you can port the stock wastegate but i heard that it doesn't work that well all the time. also i don't have enough money to go single and i want to hit 400 whp, so i might use a 50 shot of nitrous to get to my goal and i know that with spray the boost will tend to creep even more. thats why i'm asking about the external WG.

my car did 350 whp with about 14 psi and an AFR of 10.5:1.

can't we just weld the stock WG shot and find a way to mount an external one on the manifold?

I don't think there would be any benefit of a external wastegate. The stock one, when ported will support large numbers even out of hybrid twins. To be honest... I don't think there is even room to put one... Now if you came up with an idea for a tubular manifold... Then you'd have a place to get external with a wastegate.
