Having to pump the brakes to build pressures is due to him not bleeding them correctly. When your lines leaked fluid you got air in there, and they needed to be bled, its possible he never did that, i'd ask. Did the car pull at all when you hit the brakes? Maybe to the left? I've heard that you are suppose to let brake pads "sit" before you begin braking hard, which is lightly braking to allow everything to sit properly and flat against each other. So one theory would be that since you had to pump the brakes, which would cause a sudden increase in pressure and then brake hard as a result, they could easily become warped since they are new pads and rotors. You would also typically have an unbalance between braking and a pull...trust me I know from mini disc conversion experience. Ask him if he bled the passenger side. Obviously he didn't do it correctly if he even did it.

we bled the brakes, I did the pumping. Crap. Car didnt pull though when I braked, just a constant scrape, scrape, scrape, as the rotor hit the pad at what i'm guessing is an off angle. It was doing this at 5-7 mph so I could hear it. Like I said when I got on the highway it became almost violent, and I exited immediately. He tells me it wasnt doing it when he test drove it, but I dont know that he did test drive it. If he did, there's no way he COULDNT have heard it scrape. When I took it to hibdon, they said the damage could be as far down as to the spindle. GD. They're gonna tear it down tomorrow and let me know if its just the rotor. I'm hoping it is, Rob (the mechanic) says to have them put it on a perfectly flat surface to ensure its just the rotor that is messed up. Either way you look at it, worst or best case scenario, my car's still broken for longer

Ok well the pad wasn't seating against the disc properly and chattering. Another thing...one of the caliper pots could of stuck or doesn't extend fully to give proper braking pressure against the disc, explaining the need to pump, although I dont' think you bled them enough. Sometimes its tricky to get all the air out.
