I had to cut a clip to be able to extend it over to the driverside of the engine bay.

I tossed the clip and decided to solder the wires to the sensor, that it was previously attached too.

The check engine light for it is going off. I double checked the connections. Everything should be working fine.

Im starting to wonder if the CLIP needs to be attached to the sensor for some reason?

anyone know?

I'm curious if the heat from the soldering damaged the sensor internals. Otherwise, no - the clip only plays the role of holding the connectors securely. Maybe there is a procedure for checking the resistance of the sensor, seeing if it has failed.

Air Intake Temp Sensor. He moved it from the UIM to the Intake Elbow I believe.
