Need Some Input From Fd Owners On A Few
#1
Ok guys as I said in my last post I am looking to buy an FD here soon. Right now there are a few I am considering and I'd like the input of people who own them already to let me know which they think if I were to buy one of these would be my best bet. I have an idea, but I think my excitement may be overshadowing my brain :bigok: hence why I want someone elses input that knows what they're talking about.
ok first option:
94 touring montego/black and tan interior
has 126,000 miles on it still original engine.
was checked out by RE motorsports and they found that for the first 120,000 or so the secondary turbo was not working and the guy who owned the car before babied the hell out of it so the engine mechanically is very sound. They fixed the hoses on the secondary turbo did all the reliability mods
took out the double butterfly
new exhaust
S-afc
hks turbo timer
boost controller
and the condition is excellent aside from fading on 10 year old paint
they want around 13,000
(I'm iffy about that of course due to the tons of miles on the engine but the engine work that has been done is garunteed and if something goes wrong a warranty covers the engine for another 20,000 miles)
option 2:
1994 R2
black/black
only has 60,000 miles on it
comes with 18" Racing harts,
exhaust
turbo timer,
intake,
safc
upgraded radiator
and some reliability mods
they want 12,000 for that
option 3:
1993 montego with tan and black interior
23k on rebuilt motor/turbo
new paint,
some reliability mods,
no performance mods
12,500 is what they want for this one
option 4:
1993 touring black/black
65k miles
apexi intakes
power fc
blitz blow off valve & catback exhaust
tein suspension kit
racing beat f/r sway bars & clutch
b&m short shifter,
greddy pulley
lightened flywheel,
upgraded koyo radiator
$13,500
option 5:
1993 montego black int
new ported and polished engine
large m2 intercooler, battery relocated
pfs pms fuel management computer,
kone yellows with eibach springs pro kit,
full exhaust, (downpipe, midpipe, and greddy cat back)
boost gauge
ast eliminated
racing beat 6 puck clutch
320hp @ 14psi
$15000
personally I'm leaning towards option 3 then 2 and then I'm kind of up in the air about the others but those are the ones that caught my eyes. I want to get something where I can do a lot of the work on like option 3 but I may be crazy for considering any of these, and if that's the case then so be it just give me some of your input from those of you that can help me out. Thanks in advance

i like 3 just because u get to start with a basically stock car. i dont like going with a car that has been modded not so much because u dont know who did it and if it was done right but it just wouldnt feel like my car. reliability mods are fine ud probably do the same thing but u can start with a clean slate and do whatever u want.
just my 2 cents

i have a picture of Option 2 only of the outside of the car. I'm contacting the owner tonight about it but I can't post the one I have I could email it to someone to post. otherwise if someone can explain how to post it I will.

yeah i like 5 as well but my thing is if I can talk option 2's price down to 11000 or a bit lower then I kind of want to go with that so it's close to stock and I can start new. If that makes sense. Again like I said maybe my excitement about this is clouding my rationale, if that's the case then someone bitch slap me
