5th Gear Syncronizer
#12
The mazda engineers have a thing called "KONSAI" engineering or ergonomic engineering. Thats why the inteior raps around like a glove around the driver.
So with that in mind the desighned the 5th gear throw to be a power shift towards you... since they drive on the other side.... a 5th gear syncro is not a common problem in japan. So what we have in america is a weaker movement bc you are pushing the shifter away from your body. A common cure for that problem is a short shifter where you have to use more force in you shifting and be more presice about shifting....
So get a new syncro and a short shifter.
second gen racers have the same problem bc of the design also and a shoft shifter is a solution for them too....

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have bought a 5th syncro, and will order a short shifter soon. Fixing everything all at once while engine and tranny are out. Got a street ported engine with ported turbos and wastegate. Let me know if anyone has a good deal on an Apexi FC Commander.
