Its probably the thermostat. I had the same thing happen to me. My car was fine I caught it in time.



I always have a spare t-stat just in case. They seem to just stop working without warning.

Is it ok to drive without one? Won't it just take a long time to warm up, or are there other issues involved?

It's fine to drive without one, I used to remove it from my jeep whenever we went rock climbing, actually keeps the fucker nice and cool. As far as hurting anything, it's warm enough around here that you won't have any issues, in a colder climate it''lls never heat up. It will however take longer to reach operating temp =, especially in the morning, but as far as getting it home you'd be better off driving without then with a fubared one.

She didn't, she just offered. Probably because I'm at work, and she knows how to turn a wrench if she needs to. I think I've got what I need, I'll do it when I get off work.
