recently everytime i've been boosting there has been a weird roaring noise coming from the turbo area. Is this normal or do I have a problem? It starts as soon as the turbo spools up. CAN SOMEBODY HELP?

 

You might have an exhaust leak.

 

yea i do have an exhaust leak, but that was there long time ago. The exhaust leak i have, u can hear when the car is idling, but this sound comes as soon as i boost. the sound started about 3 weeks ago and would only come on after 30 mins of driving, but now it comes on right away. Can it be the waterpump?

 

it could be a boost leak, look at all the boost hose clamps

Check your clamps then check to see if there is any shaft play.It might be a simple loose clamp on your IC lines.

 

i checked there is very small shaft play, i checked all the clamps and still can hear the sound.

 

fix your exhaust leak first to eliminate it out of the variables... maybe the leak got bigger and sounds different? anyhow fix that first then start diagnosing again if it is sitll there
