The clunking thread reminded me to ask, I have recently developed a very strange chirping noise. It sounds like it is coming from the driver's side front. You can hear it while driving with windows up or down. I haven't started investigating yet. The only thing that I can see coinciding with it is now when I turn to the left to pull into my garage, you can hear a noise (almost like something is loose) on the left front. My garage is on an upslope and when you turn into it the left front tire hits the upslope first and you can here the noise.

The chirping (and it sounds like a bird chirping) comes when you are moving. Doesn't matter what speed.

I know it is not much to go on but I thought I would give it a shot.

Thanks.

could something be rubbing? Like, your tire against the inner fender? Think, you're turning, and it's hitting a bump (tire going up). Turn your wheel, and go look under there. That's all I can think of.

My driver's side rotor was really bad on the back (grooved) so it would tear up the inside pad rather quickly. The result was a nasty noise while turning, so that's something you could check.
