Maybe your throttle plates are stuck.

I also always wondered how long you can keep an FC at 8k in neutral without hurting anything. Anyone know?

I think all that is it warming up. Mine does it every time I start mine. Then it goes down and starts boucing up and down for like 3 min. then goes normal.

tap the gas pedal to stop that, usually it revs to about 3000rpm though, its

to warm up the emissions system.

Damn! Did he tear the engine apart after that and look at the seals? From what I've read, the apex seals start to chatter at redline and either break a part or scar the housings.

my car does this every once and a while and the throttle plates/springs get stuck where ever i press my foot on it...what i did was i first took a pair of plyers and kinda hit the front throttle plate back into place and then i spray the **** out of it with wd40 and the back throttle plate/spring and then i got a heavy thing of windsheild wiper fluid and put it on the gas pedal so it was full throttle and then i spray it like that then i worked it a little bit and just kept spraying it and working it then spraying it and working it...works mint now...just spray it every once and a while to make sure it dont stick again...**** gets scary when your in 5th gear going 100+mph.
