rob, turn the car on. while its idling dont push the clutch in or anything, just try to put it into gear...doyou hear the gear grind? if so you know you got some movement in the trans.

i'd say pick up the car, drain the trans and take a peek inside. its easier and cheaper then just figuring the clutch is shot, then once you take it apart, oh surprise nothings wrong with it .

so try the easy stuff before diving head in.

if you still cant find it, ill trade you an n/a for the t2 .

im hoping I can peek in the inspection plate and see something, trust me im not just going to go dropping the trans for the clutch.

do those trans require special fluid or will any gear oil do?

I can hear some gear grinding when I play with it

bla everyone here will say "oh put redline synthetic, no put "superextra HP trans fluid"

if it's just a daily driver you just need some 90W, it's the reccommended fluid.

it might just be gummed up, the pretty chilly temps lately would add to that fact....unless you have it inside or something. it's gonna be in the 50's this weekend so try it then...or bring it in the shop.

You need to put in a GL4 fluid with out any firction modifiers. So becareful. You need 75w90. But some of the 75w90 fluids are meant for teh diff with friction modifiers. If you put that stuff in the synros will be useless as they will never mesh correctly...

I got this one broken

I feel like a typical RX7 owner now

1 vert that needs a engine

1 vert that runs and drives perfect

1 TII that runs, doesnt drive

1 extra TII engine, 2 TII transmissions, and the rest of the parts needed for a turbo swap, stand alone, FMIC, etc....

which car do you think im going to swap in? thats right- the only one that runs AND drives

dont know if I will get the car on the lift today- I want to go play with my new Jeep CJ
