You can change the differential ratio and still put whatever lsd u want in there,

its seperate,, the diff ratio ring is a big ring gear that goes around your lsd,

i've seen kahren's porting on both exhaust and intake ports and its really good for whatever application you choose, he does excellent work,

where are you going to get your housings coated?

Ok well long time no posting let's see:

My FD UIM is now mated to my FC LIM perfectly.

My billet fuel rails arrived:

My 10mm Wires arrived.

My S/S Clutch and brake lines arrived.

My Innovate LM-1 Wideband Arrived.

My Wolf Boost controller Arrived.

My Wolf Turbo Timer Arrived.

My HKS Cast Manifold Arrived.

My HKS Standard 40mm WG Arrived.

My (2)-10AN Oil Return Flanges Arrived (nice ebay pieces)

As for things i accomplished:

Finished cleaning the motor

Replaced about 80% of the motors nuts and bolts

FInished planning out the AN Adapters for fuel and for the turbo inlet and outlets.

Began building adapter to fit a 95mm, single butterfly TB with a 5.0 Mustang TPS and a Lokar Throttle Cable to the FD UIM, still not positive if it is what i will actually go ahead with using, may stick with the FD TB just bored out a bit.

I'm pretty much just wrapping up buying everything. Hopefully Kahren can port my motor soon as i plan to bring it up there soon, then im sending out my rotor housings to JHB Performance to be ceramic coated, then i may or may not try finding someone to lap my plates.

THen the rebuild begins and hopefully once its done being rebuilt the paint and body work will be finished.

Anyway, thats all for now, ill take pictures of my tons of parts soon, my bedrom is like half car parts half bed right now.

Oh and BTW some things that have changed:

Ignition is now:

FD Ignitor

(4) MSD Blaster SS Coils

(1) OR (2) MSD 6A's (only on leading)

My Oil Cooler lines i will be making myself rather then using premade ones, just because i dont like premade stuff

Due to NHRA rules i wont be running a fuel cell as it requires a firewall between the cabin and the cell, which is just oo much extra work.weight. So we will run the stock tank.

THe primary injectors will also most likely be changed to 890cc's, altho ive been considering 790cc ones instead.

thats it for changes i think, oh and since it probably will only be running a couple months before winter the suspension installations may be postponed until next winter rather then suck up all of the summertime .

the problem with the big primaries in the fd is that they are shorter and the fuel spray hits the inside of the rail and drips into the engine, if you have top feeds the bigger ones should be no problem

I milled the fuel rail down a few odd thousandths so the injectors fit in tight to the bottom (stock 850 secondarys in the primary rail)

[quote name='teknics' date='Jan 31 2005, 03:12 AM']hmm good point on the "shifting more then driving" thing. is the 3.9 in the auto fd still a clutch-type lsd? cause im not really a fan of the s5 viscous which is mainly what im looking to rid myself of.

well the ignition system is almost finished being planned, the fuel system i just need my fuel cell (and someone has to send me my damn rails), i still have to get my housings to kahren then ship them out after theyre ported to get the ceramically recoated...etc

i WANT to finish it before july but it depends on how fast i can get all the parts and also how fast i can make a permanent plan, for example my ignition setup is up in the air but i think i FINALLY nailed it down.

all fd's have a torsen lsd... you'd blow that up to smitherines if all goes well with your engine

j9: what are talking about here? my car's an fc...my fuel injectors are top feed, my UIM is FD but there are no injectors in it...unless you were just making a general point. I havent bought my new primary injectors yet so im not sure about ther height. But Marren Injectors now has injectors that fit in without modification to them, theyre listed as "pro Imports" or something.

rotaryrocket: rule #1 is never add it up

Rob: THe rails i bought from sean, aka "thecamel", they're from japan, company called "SuperNOW!", jt-imports said he could get hold of them if anyone wnats them, but that was a while ago.
