okay so basically my passenger's side window has stopped working. i tested the motor with a motocycle battery and the motor worked, and then we checked the switch using a voltage meeter and it was testing positive electrical contuity. So it has to be the middle man between the switch, and the motor. both are working and i am lost. i have no idea what is happening and need some help. i know that the passenger side switch hasnt been working at all but my drivers side switch will allow the window to go down but not up. could anyone help me please?

Is the motor kicking on and not running the window when you flip the switch or does it not kick on at all.

Contacts in the switch are known to go bad, if the motor is kicking on but the window isn't moving then it's probably the regulator.

umm yeah, like if i hook up the motor to a battery the windown goes up and down. so i know the motor is good, i think i will clean the contacts, should i do that on both the drivers side and passengers?

the drivers side wears considerably more than the passenger side so it would be fine to just do the drivers side. unless the passenger side gets fubared if not drivers only IMO

take the switch apart its held on with 3 screws there are little contacts on the switches take the corrsion with wire bush or razor blades... these usually get super bloack with corossion and they stop the motors from getting current...

okay so i know its been awhile since i last posted about this, but its spring and now i need my window to roll down again and i found out that the contacts are good, the driver side works and the motor works for the passenger side works too. We found out its getting power to both switches, im not sure why it still wont work., what exactly does the window regulator do? the manual told me all it does it hold the window up and push that up and down and that works. im pretty sure its something with the electrical, not sure, any suggestions?
