i have a 17lb flywheel on my TII. it seems to be a good midway between 9lbs and stock https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png the car rev's pretty damn fast with it. can't complain https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

http://pengaru.com/~swivel/cars/rx-7/status.html

even after all this i'm not satisfied and it's way beyond $1500, i'm in the process of a rebuild ... street porting it and moving to series 5 rotors, turbo rotor housings turbo intermediate housing... series 5 intake (vdi) , with all this work and putting a haltech i'll be just breaking ~230HP most likely, anyone care to comment?

trust me, find a turboii unless you're going to spend much $$ on building the NA, or willing to be content with a relatively slow car, even modded.

get a bridge port it will be fast then :bigok:

your GXL has alot of mods!!!! i almost went that route...... got hooked on turbo cars..... i'm not going to be racing my TII as much so it should be MUCH more reliable https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Yup, last time I metered it, 0-60 was 7.5s w/wheelspin, that was with

just header and presilencer, and k&n drop-in w/airbox all there. With

all the current mods it should be pulling ~6.5s 0-60 times, but I no longer

have access to the ap-22... should probably get one of the new gtechs. My

justification for modding the GXL is reliability... tuning a turbo car is a bit

more risky but the payoff is much better. To get the GXL moving I'll spend more

than you have on your TurboII and not even get it going as fast, but I might

be able to do it with one engine :P

At least the car is fast enough to **** with i'd say at around 80% of the cars I

encounter on the street. I've only had two experiences with all the current

mods that made me feel really slow, one was an LS1 corvette, the other was

a newer porsche 911 carerra, I actually hung with the porsche on some twisties but in the straights it was a joke... the twisties were probably the driver being a *****.

I've been toying with the idea of a small turbo on my 'high' compression 6 port motor after getting the haltech... we'll see https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

my TII can hang with about 97% of the cars out there. 0-60 about 5.0... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png i just want it to run 12's soon https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png if i find a good deal on a 89-90 GTUs i'll pick one up for a super reliable fun car to drive https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

it's cheaper to goto the track and find out what your 1/4 mile time is then approximate your 0-60 using the websites in the gen d forum https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i need a new speedo cable. it would be nice to see how fast i'm going https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

i got mine used from judge ito along with a used act 6 puck race clutch that we installed. but they go for around $300-$500. if your gonna do a clutch job might as well get a new flywheel. mine had stress cracks in it with the stock clutch...

if anyone wants a stock clutch off my jspec its sitting in my garage. i gotta take pix of all the crap in my garage i wanna sell!

A 4.3 rear, other then that, keep the money or spend it on the stereo/rims or some ****, your not going to make the car THAT much faster anyhow.
