ok i got approved for a 1500 dollar personal loan and have the following mods done

dual alternator pulley

intake

gutted all 3 cats

no ps/ac/ or airpump/ acv block off plate

with 1500 to spend,it all goes into my car, what would you do to get the most of of it? the car is a 88 rx-7 non turbo GXL model 5 speed. any answers are welcome let em rip, later

anything thats within resaon too,lol i need a new clutch and im going to buy new tranny mounts and a new driveshaft with replaceable joints on it so thats about a good 6 hundred of it already

Ok, begin with a full exhaust: Headers, presilencer and catback +30HP(with intake you already have) costs anywhere from $700 to $1200

Or you can go ahead and get a lightweight flywheel...no HP gain, but makes car accelerate faster. NOS kit possibly...good wheels & tires, the possibilites are endless, but unfortunately, 1500 isnt enough to gain all THAT much...but its a nice start....

i had nitous in my old civic,it was fun until i fucked the motor and then when the cra was sitting in my yard some one stole most of the nitrous hardware:( the exhaust idea is what it will prob be, i want a ported intake manifold from a guy on this site thats gonna open a import store

take out the personal loan, and sell the GXL, then buy a TurboII.

Trust me on this one, I have a GXL and have spent > $1500 on mods, TurboII is definately the best route if you want to go fast w/budget, although the GXL has been quite reliable for me... unlike .. some peoples coughcoughvoskocoughcough TurboII's https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR

lol, there are no turbo 2's around here i have the only nice rx-7 from what ive seen around here the last 3 diff ones ive seen run like **** and look like it too,no one even wants to inspect mine for me even the mazda dealership said they hated the rx-7s

would a street port yield good results?

Rotaryman88 08-07-2002 11:01 PM

Streetport will cost more then 1500...

Go w/ the exhaust, and if you have any $$ left look for a lightweight flywheel...

thats about all the money there on the exhaust.

rotary88 08-07-2002 11:10 PM

but is a light flywheel streetable only reason i ask cuz i might get in the not to far away future as one of my mods

Rotaryman88 08-07-2002 11:16 PM

A lightweight flywheel is very streetable...just dont go nuts, a nice 12lbs flywheel is a good choice....
