Just bought them from a guy locally, got an awsome deal on them. This exhaust is loud, but sounds amayzing. heres some pics, dont mind my car being dirty, its been raining alot here in AZ mixed with dry AZ's dust.

ive seen a few cars with these, and i like the look and the sound is great, but i think it makes the car look really narrow and tall. low and wide > tall and narrow

89 Rag 02-26-2005 08:12 PM

Do they scrape on speed bumps or steep angeled driveways? It looks like the system hangs down really low.

Nah that havnt yet, But ya I think ur right, they do look a little low, Ima get some tie wire and see if I can tie them up a little higher.

yea same thoughts here. Im not one of those "rb duals are god" guys, but i love how my duals tuck up behind the rear bumper, they fit perfectly into the bumper cutouts etc giving it a much lower look.

but hey to each his own, as long as it does what its supposed to do i have nothing against it, ive never heard n1 duals tho...i think.

kevin.

CtotheHRIS 02-27-2005 01:11 PM

hey man, how do you like them?

a know some people that have them, and they sound pretty sweet.

yeah ive got the rb system too, and its nice cause it looks stock, but i'm kinda bored with it at the same time

drunkin_idiot 02-27-2005 03:53 PM

Ok Amp and mike here are your pics you asked for. Like I said, they do sit a little low but can be fixed with a little tie wire. I love 'em. <3

ROTARYROCKET7 02-27-2005 05:46 PM

I got it from a guy locally in chandler for $350, awsome deal compared to the 800-850 you pay brand new.

lol @ Rob.

Nice find Matt.

Shane.Trammell 02-28-2005 01:41 PM

that exhaust can be built custom for cheap, those muffs arent any better than the ricer fart cans from the rice section of the parts store. imo those muffs are way too big and dont really look good. i love the n1 dual on the fd though...

Sorry I call https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/bsflag.gif on this one, you have no idea the quality of this exhaust, these cans are big, but they look awsome, I guess you have to see them in person. Plus for what I paid for them, there is no way you could get a custom job that is this kind of quality and sound this good. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Shane.Trammell 02-28-2005 02:06 PM

ive seen that exhaust and heard it in person and theres nothing special about it imo. if you found generic muffs with the same dimensions and used the same size piping it would be identical. those are just straight through muffs so the only difference would be in the material used in construction and maybe the quality but the muffs prob all come from pretty much the same manufacturers anyway.

like i said thats just my opinion on it and everyone likes different stuff so thats cool. the fc i saw this exhaust on was na so theres prob a little difference in sound but other than that its the same. if i was doing an exhuast on a tii i would go rb full bc the power gains are like 20 or 30%, im guessing the n1 duals arent that much.

drunkin_idiot 02-28-2005 06:37 PM

i guess ur entitled to ur opinion. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Il RX8 lI 02-28-2005 06:39 PM

Lol, he said muff.

teknics 02-28-2005 09:41 PM

i think they look fine on your car, honestly everybody has their own taste, apexi n1 duals is one style option and other people use other options.

hell you got it dirt cheap for a dual exhaust system and you like it, id be happy with that.

kevin.

Rob x-7 02-28-2005 09:43 PM

im on longer a fan of any muffler that is straight through design on a rotory, too loud for me.

You know what they surprisingly no tto loud, well not as loud as everyone descibed them out to be. They have a really deap tone to them that sounds non chainsaw like alot of exhaust systems do to the rotary.

You'll probably find them 4 cheap on Ebay or some other place but they are not real Apexi N1's.........Youll hear the sound diference and the material and weldings are totally noticeable https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Thats the part I like, the deep tone, the really nice exhaust systems take the "tin" sound away, and a little port work doesn't hurt either. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
