FC caught on fire at work.

Buddy of mine had his FC catch on fire today. It was just sitting there, and all of a sudden, just caught on fire. Rad-fan, belts, vacuum hoses, etc. is fried. It literally caught the entire engine bay on fire. The cause was a leaky injector, fuel got onto the exhaust, kaboom. I was not here to witness it, but the car is done for. And our GM is pissed the **** off.
I will get pictures tomorrow. The car is pretty much done for now.

had that happen to me on a 87t2 , sept what caused the fire was a bad o2 sensor and red hot manifold wich started a few hoses to burn , i was lucky i put the fire out quick enuff as there wasnt very much damage done other then a few hoses and a few gaskets, the harness was good sept for the o2 sensor,
but it was damn scary!!!!

harness, rad fan, belts, coolant hoses, vacuum lines, everything was fried completely! there is even black marks on the headlight covers, both fenders, and hood. it was really bad from what it seems. i think either the fuel injectors were leaking, or one of the fuel lines was loose and went onto the exhaust. but he said it was ran for like 5 minutes, then he shut it off. he JUST PUT S5 tail lights on the car too.
now he can just start his swap earlier. he wants to set it up for drifting.
