Here is another that's probably been brought up before but I can't find it searching.... Can I just swap in the manual rack and pinion or do I need anything else to complete the swap? This is for my 88 NA.

Thanks!

chris

you can swap it righ in.

you can also loop the lines on the power steering rack and plug the other holes, then eliminate the pump... for a quicker ratio than the manual rack.

I've heard of some problems with this method though but I'm trying it myself regardless.

yah the manual rack goes right in, just be sure you get the brackets that hold it on, those are different

any base model 86-88 can have a manual, they usually run about $100-150 rebuilt from the big chain autoparts stores.
