why dont you put an s4 afm into it? its compatible

mike
First, I just dont care that much. Motors sold anyways, just waiting for the guy to collect the money. And my new motor is almost ready to go together. Second, I think the problem with the runners is more serious than the AFM.
yah, thats true, but at least you could have it not maxxing out so early*. the its car (stock s5 motor stock ports) maxxes out the afm around 7k

mike

*i havent tested one, but you can always tighten the spring, or drill a hole in the flapper

The TII's have a stiffer spring, but a n/a wont run right with a TII afm(S5's). I have a hunch that it might be like the fords, where the afm is calibrated for the injectors, instead of the ecu. But I dont have 4 S5 550's to test it out yet.

I tried the aux ports again today. First, they were stuck, and I couldnt get them open all the way. But this time I set the VDI to the low rpm setting, and I now have colder plugs(i melted a set of stock ones in 5K miles to the point of the car flooding constantly).

Little less low end, started to get into the powerband around 4500, and by 5500, the afm was maxed, and the lean mixtures caused power to start falling off. The power delivery was not regular. Sometimes I would have more power than other times. When it was doign best, it was noticably more powerful than with the aux ports closed. On the highway, in 4th gear is where it really shined. Went from 80 to 120 very easily. I havent ever felt my car pull that hard in 4th gear.

But I still think the SP motor im building will make more power across the board.
