yeah... i had a very "interesting" experiance with this one.... turns out somebody thought that a good way to fix the p/s was to fill the insides with silastic (read: gooey ****).... ended up leaking p/s fluid out of the electrical connectors to the pump.... *nervous look*

good news on this front....
after losing HEAPS of oil while driving my portable smokescreen... something has somehow fixed itself (i think). I'm not chewing any oil anymore.... theres no smoke (even at high rpm) and everything its back to the way it was... very strange.
It was an idea of a rotary mechanic to try and "drive it out", seems to have worked! he said there was the possibility that the flooding caused the oil to thin... leaking past seals etc.
As long as it doesn't start again.... i'm happy!

Well that all worked out then...glad you don't need the rebuild yet. Although, that does sound kinda odd that something that seemed that severe would just go away, lol...have fun, happy rotor'n
