ok.... so i FINALLY got my car started... now i got another problem...

it seems to sometimes (intermittently) blow a S&*TLOAD of smoke out the exhaust.... i'm talking smokescreen.... the rotary mechanic said that it was probably just a bit of oil built up in the exhaust.... but i've lost HEAPS of oil....

any ideas? he mentioned that it may also be oil control rings (or something similar to that)

am i looking down the barrel of a rebuild??

If your car is burning that much oil, its a bad thing. It's not leaking or anything right? No oil spots under the car? chances are it is the oil rings internally and a rebuild is around the corner...how does the car drive? have power?

car feels exactly the same as it always has.... no probs at all with it....

can't find any oil spots.... just loads of it burning.... espically at or after hi rpm runs....sometimes it seems fine tho....

theres no way that i'm rebuilding w/o turboing it.... but i don't have much $$ to play with at the moment...

Yea, sounds like a weak seal. When you get into the higher RPM range, it puts more pressure onto the seals and its letting oil slip through and get burnt up...more then its supposed to. You should *ok* for a little while, but I would be looking into getting the rebuild soon...

My NA blew the coolant seals at 111K miles

Sometimes they last long, sometimes not...it really depends on who had the car first and how they cared for it.
