no, what i'm wondering is if closing my wastegate early with a boost controller to reach 10 psi earlier will be worse than just letting it creep along to 10 psi.

also, are these turbo xs controllers worth the $60, or will one of those cheap $15 ones from ebay do the same thing?

won't quickly boosting up to 10 psi hurt my engine or turbo. i mean, if it was that easy to reduce turbo lag, why didn't mazda already use on?
they put one on in 89

If its creeping up to 10 now if he gets a mbc/ebc and sets for 10psi he'll creep over right? Needs a ported Wastegate?

So how does it compare to your old exhaust? Are you interested in selling me your old catback?

Yeah. He definitely needs to port that wastegate.

But anyways, like I said, yes boosting it up to 10 using a MBC will decrease turbo life...

But 10psi is so much more fun that 5

looks nice, I was originally going with the RB turboback..but after waiting 3 months from backorder I got tired of waiting and went with the thunderfabrications dp/mp into the single n1.

btw, it looks like there will be at least 2 turbo II's in college station this fall

definitely, i will sell it to you. i'll sell you the whole thing, if you want it and have a tII. if not, i can sell you just the cat back.

PM me soon, i'm going back to A&M on friday and my internet here is getting cut off soon. you can also IM me at RX7Aggie, or call me at 210-535-3288 to work out the details.

i dont plan on charging much, maybe $250 for the whole setup, $100 for the cat back? it sounds great, not ricey at all, a nice deep baratone sound, sounds similar to my racing beat setup.

you going to A&M? staying on campus? joining the TAMSCC? joining TAMU FSAE?

PM me or IM me at RX7Aggie. i could use a fellow rx-7 fan at A&M, someone to troubleshoot my problems. all my buddies drive mustangs and constantly dog me about my lack of torque.

eh, at least it's not a ford...
