well, after many hours of labor, ranging from missing exhaust hanging equipment to that third turbo-dp bolt that is impossible to reach and tighten, it is finally on!

so i took it for a test drive, so see how it sounded, how it ran, and if i overboost.

and the results are:

1. full boost comes on much quicker

2. my boost creeps up to 8.5 psi, and that before redline. i let off b/c i haven't bought an FCD. with my old exhaust i was hitting 6.5 psi at redline.

3. more low end toque, most likely b/c of the early boost. but in 4th gear at 40 mph, i actually could accellerate.

4. FAST. my car feels sooo much faster. seriously, the tarmac can barely contain my wheels

few questions: i tightened that back bolt as good as i could, but when i looked around the turbo, i saw smoke. i'm going to assume this is due to the anti-seize around the bolts, and not an exhaust leak. if it still does it after a week or two, i'll try to tighten it up.

here is my old exhaust:

so, as i was driving, and i was nearing 8-9 psi on boost, i let off to prevent fuel cut, which never happened.

the previous owner blew the engine b/c he boosted up to 20 psi due to a broken wastegate.

i look at the pressure sensor, and what do i find?

FDC!!!!!!

sweet, now i dont have to spend $90 on one. i love saving money

So after all this time and all the work you have done on the car you did not know you had the FDC? Makes you want to

Nice you don't have to spend the cash.

the mid section isnt' stock. i dont know where it came from, or what brand it is. it's 2.5", same as the down pipe.

the exhaust is apexi rs racing series, i think. that's what the tail pipe says "RS Racing Series", and the side has a tag that looks like this:
