On the subject of the Gas in the oil

Ok, correct me if i'm wrong guys. This might possibly be oil control rings.. (again correct me if i'm wrong)

Does the car smoke? when you rev it? when downshifting? A little smoke is 'normal' at startup

This is 'normal' due to the fact of the way the engine is sitting.. oil seeps down onto the spark plugs

when you go to start it.. it simply burns off instantainiusly...

I've seen many cars, freshly rebuilt... after break in period.. smoke sightly at start-up. Again this is 'normal'

It is not normal to have Lots of bluish, or white smoke at startup. It should go away after 5 to 10 seconds after turning the ignition over.

Change your Oil. Get some new plugs, run it for a while.. (500-1000 miles) than come back and see if it still smells like gas. Is the engine flooding??

If the engine is flooding, it could be that your injectors are leaking any left over pressure into the engine... (after you turn it off) that would cause the engine to 1. Flood 2. Have gas in the oil.

gas smell in the oil is kinda normal and by istelf doesnt mean much other than you need to change the oil. it could mean the car floods or needs rotor oil seals, but it might not
