I went out for a little drive last night and while stopped at a stop light I noticed my oil pressure at idle was lower than normal. Being the worrieing type that I am I decided to stop and check it out. I just expected to the oil to be low, but when I pulled the dipstick it read full. I investigated a little more and found the oil to be thin and smelling of gas. What could cause this? Could my injectors be leaking?

On a side note my car has other problems right now that I'm awaiting parts for. If my injectors are going bad I would like to replace them all. I would like to put in some 1600cc/min secondaries and new 550cc/min primaries. Does anybody know where I can find the K2RD secondary fuel rail and 1600cc/min injectors as a combo? I know that Sport Car Motion offers a kit like this for FDs, but I haven't seen one for my FC. Also I would like to replace my stock fuel lines with SS braided lines and AN fittings. Does anybody know where I can find these?

Here is my list of parts to solve my problems and where I have located the parts at. If anybody knows where I can get them for less please let me know.

Haltech E6K Kit $1065.00 Sport Car Motion

fully terminated harness $65.00 " "

3 Bar Map Sensor $80.00 " "

Nippon Denso 550cc/min injectors(x2) $230.00 " "

K2RD secondary fuel rail w/ 1600cc/min injectors (if offered for FC) $380.00 " "

SX fuel pressure regulator w/ guage prot and fittings $174.00 " "

K2Rd block off plate kit $22.00 K2RD

MSD Blaster SS coil(x2) $71.90 Summit Racing

MSD-6A ignition control unit (x3) $449.85 " "

Sylicone hose job $105.00 Gotham Racing

Greddy 2Row V-Spec FMIC 850.00 " "

Total price $3492.75 (without SS braided fuel lines and fittings)

All of these are to fix problems that my car is having right now except for the FMIC(just something I wanted to buy). I'm getting the ignition stuff to replace my failing trailing coils. The Haltech is to replace my AFM because the intake air thermosensor is going bad. The fuel stuff is to replace possible leaky injectors. If anybody knows where I canget a lower price on this stuff let me know. Thanks.

if you have flooded the car recently that would explain a gas smell

I've never flodded my car, but I just installed a new 255ltr/hr Walbro intank fuel pump. Could the extra fuel this pump pushes be what is causing my problem?

most rotaries do that... all the FCs i've come into contact with are like this. My is like this.

The only time i never noticed such a condition is if the engine was newish rebuilt.

It has to do with the side seals i think, and blow by. After driving my car for 2000 kms and changing it it comes out all thin and smelling of gas and my car doens't flood... its starts after 1 crank of the engine.

btw i use 20w50 too

Ari told me that when you run the car rich the oil control rings don't keep the gas from penetrating the oil, and thus you get cross contamination. so you should change the oil pretty soon.

Johann and Eddy it's nice to see that you guys are alive. I was also thinking that if my trailing coils are messing up and not firing right or at all then the unburnt fuel could seep down into my oil. I think I'll go with the new injectors anyways because I'll need them in the future. Plus they won't max out if I crank the boost up higher.

why it's rich could be several things, but the bottom line is you're rich. Not money wise either. if it's your trailing coils that are bad run down to FM600 and get a used set of a junked car. ALL FC coils are the same. snicker them down to like $12
