hey guys, got a question for the forums, i was wondering who builds the motor with the best reputation. i was looking at the stage 2 street ported motor from rx7store, its 2650. plus i could opt for 3mm seals, lapped plates and new housings with the build for an additional charge. my buddy has one from pineapple that runs strong, I've heard hayes blows. i like mazdatrix but 5 something grand for just a rotor and housing assembly with street porting is a little steep, help me out here boys, im sure theres a few people out there who knows a little more than i do

yes, that is a serious truism, but i just wanna know who has bought motors from what companies and what their impressions were. i just want something i can pull 400-500 ponies out of without worrying about throwing flaming apex seals at innocent bystanders

You will probably get 400 to 500 hp out of the engine regardless of who built it - the question is who tunes it and how long the engine stays together, lol..

I've only BOUGHT engines from Atkins and have had good and bad experiences. All the bad experiences were corrected with a replaced engine since it was under warranty.

All the rest, I've built... I'm not a pro or anything, but rotaries are pretty simple. I've got an engine I built still running around IL somewhere, lol - has about 90K on the rebuild by now and still running. That was my first engine!

Quick note. The key to longevity is new housings! You can have a 500hp monster with used housings. It'll just beat the crap out of your seals quicker...
