I think I am just going to get a greddy kit, its no hassle. A vmic would be so nice but its alot to have someone fab that up unless you have "homie hookup". I can weld good (MIG) but have no big welder.

just get an NPR fmic, it's an easy hookup.

npr intercooler and a universal piping kit or something? I just did a quick ebay search, cores are nice and cheap.

yeah npr is awsome kevin and i did my ic piping with 3ft 10in of piping and the rest silicone bends its looks awsome and is very effecnt

it'll be hard to guy by our pics, both of us have FD UIM's on our t2 motors...and my turbo is clocked 180deg



but the way the NPR outlets are you basically run the piping to right under the rad and then put a 90deg silicone elbow. the setup with my t78 and everything is only going to use maybe 2 ft of piping...total. with a two 90's and 45 on the turbo side and one 90 and two 45's on the outlet side. it's probably almost as good as a VMIC without all the fabrication headaches.

Thanks Kevin. I like the idea of less piping for sure!!!!! The core looks smaller thus not blocking the radiator and oil cooler as much.

there's three types, small, medium and large. i have a large, james (jwteknix) has a medium.



the large is HUGE, if youre worried about the radiator and stuff id go with a medium, it fits a bit easier too.



if you go with the NPR let me know and I can get you pics of how we at least mounted the I/C, its a little tricky.



also some people say its not a good flowing core..but theres no data to back it up and it deals with boost from a decent size diesel motor so IMHO it should work fine, james has his car running with it and the outlet pipe doesnt even get warm, my car has yet to run but i gotta finsh my FD first, my FC only needs some wiring and ****.



keep in touch if you go the NPR route like I said as the mounting looks more difficult then it is, once you actually get it in there it's like a no brainer, and it fits perfectly.
