ecu problems need help

i done a engin swap from my 90 gxl to my 88 gxl swaped engin wiring to the new ecu out of the 90 model but the one plug in the 88 is not match ing the ecu i went from a m-351 ecu to a m-357 i think that is the right numbers can i cut and splice the 90 model plug to the 88 wires?

not really, you need to swap engine wiring harnesses too

I dont fully understand what you mean up there so here is what you do if your using the 90 harness and ecu. There is one plug that is in the car that will not mate up to the 90 ECU. I think its power and crap like that.



If you get all the wires right its no different than a haltech. You better have a wiring diagram for both



Usea small sewing pin and you can pull the wire out with the end on it. Then do the same on your other plug and slide it into the new spot. Presto no cutting or splicing and it will look factory

Your doing something wrong here. You should have changed youe engine harness, dash harness. and gauge cluster.
