doesnt start

alright, so here's some brief history of the car. rebuilt 60k miles ago, drove it to class, left the lights on for about 4 or 5 hours, came back, started car, car started sputtering in every gear. i changed the fuel pump a week before this occured with an fd3s fuel pump.
the car is an s4 10AE TII (1988)
i checked for vac leaks to no avail. i changed the fuel filter and it made the car run worse, so i put the stock one on (replaced 3 months ago).
i checked the fuel pump and it's working fine. the sock isnt that dirty.
i changed the spark plugs. ngk 7's leading and 9's trailing. the car definately gets spark. i tested on the shock tower.
so i was thinking injectors. my friend gave me some injectors that supposedly came off of another TII and it was red. i installed the injectors and attempted to start the car.
first crank...nothing
second crank...fires and revs..but died as i released the throttle
now it doesnt fire at all, but it cranks.
would my problem now be the injectors being too small (460cc)? i looked them up and they came off of an N/A fc3s. it's red, with a high square plug, and the key is offset. this is high impedence correct?
the thing is, rx7club's faq says that the high impedence n/a injectors are purple square, while the low impedance are red with oval plug..but mine are red with square plugs.
lastly, the BACV is unplugged. i dont remember if it was plugged in prior to removing the UIM but i cant find the plug anywhere. would this affect me starting the car?
and it is NOT flooded.
compression sounded fine. i took off the leading spark plugs on both the front and rear rotor at seperate times and the compressions were even.

i should add:
with my old TII purple injectors in there, the car would start but it would sound like it was misfiring and ran like ****. it would sputter at 3000 rpms, and again at like 4500, then it would take about 8 seconds to hit 7000 rpms.
with my new red injectors, the car doesnt even start.

you took the uim off, correct?
find the bac plug and plug it abck in, it helps. the plug is blue if that helps
got the tps hooked up right?
put the stock injectors back in.
hows the battery voltage? did it come back up or is it still dead?
