Well my gslse still doesnt start.........I am totally lost, I have plenty of fuel, plenty of spark, good compression, timing is good, good injectors, I have no clue what to look for anymore. Itll start once or twice a day but as soon as it starts it dies. It doesnt idle, doesnt let me rev it, doesnt bog down at all, just dies! Can you guys please help me out!? Im going crazy! Well I replaced the distributor cap and rotor, and its starts right up! But..........it only stays on for a couple of seconds. Idling or revving, it just dies......no bogging no nothing, just dies. What could this be? At least the starting prob is fixed now i have to find a way to keep it started lol.

 

Is it still getting fuel after it dies?Might be a bad pump

 

Is it an '84-'85? It could be the fuel pump relay.

 

Its an 84...........But I am almost positive its not fuel, because I was thinking, if it was fuel wouldnt it bog down then die? The best way I explain it is............if it had a kill switch and you didnt have the key(microchip) in it and the it just shuts the fuel pump off or shut the kills the alternator...........Im thinking its electical but i dont know where to look.

so you checked that the pump is working properly then?



you've checked the dizzy and ignitors to make sure your timing is right and you've got plenty of spark?



Theres no **** blocking your air filter?



All your fuses are good and nothing's blown?
