coolant buzzer?

so thats what that is! (or is it?)

My coolant was only half empty, but when I would run hard (i.e. high rpm shifts),

it would be all like: vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvVVVVVVVVVRRRRROOOOOOOOMMMMM WONNNKK!!*shift*

the 'wonk' buzzer was coming from inside the car, so i knew it was a warning of sorts....i always thought it was a shift indicator?

There's 3 important functions of the buzzer.

-low oil

-over rev

-low coolant

on mine a wire had come out it just needed to be pluged-in it was under the steering the column, I was actually searching for the speaker to shut it up.
hhmmm, good idea. I have a high pitched buzzer constantly, not like the over rev or low coolant "wonk" buzzer, heh i love that sound description

Do you remember what the wire color was that was loose under the dash and its approximate location? I had my dash board out for some wiring/plastic repairs and could have possibly left this loose??

Ahhhhhhhh.......verrrrrrry interesting.....

So it must be the coolant, because the *WONK* would always come about 1000rpm before redline.

no?
