Losing Compression ....

Im considering buying this 86 FC GXL from this older couple . Its at mazda they say its losing compression and they couldnt get it started. Not sure if i should buy it even though the owners only want 500. for it

$500??? If everything else is dandy I would buy it and in the worst case find some used 13B and drop it in there You could find strong NA engines for $500 if you look hard enough.



Plus it could just need a treatment of oil in the chambers or maybe some MMO to clean things out.

Do any of you guys know where i can get a complete set of apexs, corners, etc at a reasonable price . Cause if i wind up tearing it apart im gonna reseal it.

Aside from used stuff or some bargain through a friend Rotary Aviation has good deals and there are others out there. I am sure there is a thread somewhere about where to buy stuff. You can even try the links at the top of this site.
