You can use the paste on the set-up of the mazda rear also; BUT: The use of the dial gives you a numerical value to use in order to calculate the correct shim size: IF the backlash is out of spec.



When using the paste it becomes an exercise in trial and error to determine correct shim value. (Unless you are some gifted individual that does this day in and day out and can determine shim dimension based on pattern appearance, [UNLIKELY])
