Just looking for some advice on what i can do to my car. I'm looking to take it to a shop and get it done. Do i need a new tranny and rear end should i upgrade the suspension and with a new rear end i should i also do the brake's rims and tires? i also want power stearing installed and ac? I guess ill need a new ecu also? And exhaust? im guessing around $8000 total. and yes i know i could go and buy a different rx-7 with most of this stuff installed but i want it all new. So i can break it in. Also should i get some kind of coating on the underbody and engine bay done aswell when it's all apart? I want to gut the interior and try and go custom later on but i want a sleeper for now body has some dents and dings, people sure do like backing into it in parking lots..

So where in Ontario are you from? I did this swap last winter, because I did everything myself and sold all the old n/a parts it's sitting at about 3500.

You want all new parts, like mazda OE tranny, driveshaft, etc?? That will be much higher than $8K...

You'll need a tranny, driveshaft, rear end, halfshafts, t2 ecu/harness (or standalone), t2 motor, exhaust, misc things like the pressure sensor and other little things, t2 throttle cable... best would be to get a parts t2.

If you have $8K to put into this, seriously...buy a t2 and mod it, it'll save so much time and headache.

Yeah, there is a nice TII in the trader this week 4800, has an aftermarket turbo and such, but that might be a little too much power to start with.

You may want it all new, but your chassis still isn't new.

For that $8k, you can find a nice, low-mileage TurboII with a recently-rebuilt engine in it. .
