if they look like they drove it like a 90 year old I wouldnt buy it.

I made the mistake of buying one like that, and due to mass carbon build-up my compresion disappeared after it sat a week and it needs a rebuild... (just found this out today, and yes I'm gonna get real drunk tonight )
I agree. My 90 GTU seized up on me after having it for 3 months because the previous owner drove it like a grandma. ******' carbon :madgo:

my 89 gtu had 66k miles when i got it. the little old lady only put on 26k miles in SIX years. as soon as i got it, i changed the oil and proceeded to rev the crap outta my car. so far so good no problems with the engine yet its time for all fluid change though. i did have issues from the ******* dealer that installed the engine. bastards. my six ports are clogged with carbon....

Why don't you try removing the 6 port sleeves?

If you want to keep the 6 ports you may want to look at http://www.pineappleracing.com/Prod-pr6pi.html :

I didn't know **** about rotaries, when I bought my GTU. I wish I would have revved the hell out of it, and blown all the carbon out. That was one thing I did do when I bought my vert.

You only need to remove the lower intake manifold to get to them.
