Like the title says i took my 91 FC to the track to get some runs in to see what it will do before i begin a turbo swap. I was expecting high 14's at the least but my best time was a 17.24 at 77.35 MPH.

Here is the best one

R/T .694

60' 2.338

330' 6.974

1/8 10.803

MPH 63.67

1000' 14.303

1/4 17.24

MPH 77.35

So i know the reaction time could be better but it was my first time actually driving at atco. I know for a fact that the 5th and 6th ports are frozen shut. The engine could use a cleaning but was refreshend at 80K. The LSD worked well when heating the tires up which was the only good thing of the night. I guess it is time to get to work and get her working better.

A brand new 2005 Ford Mustang GT with the 4.6-liter V8 makes the trip in 13.5 seconds, with a professional driver behind the wheel. I'm not sure your "mid-14's" estimate was a reasonable expectation for a 15-year old n/a RX-7 with the auxilliary ports frozen shut. My T2 in near stock configuration ran low 16's.

I think a lot of people would be surprised to see how "slow" their cars are if they actually ran them at the strip.

i think stock t2's ran high 14's off the showroom floor, i think a good healthy na should run mid to low 16's?

I think car and driver said the n/a's would run 14.7 from the show room. The engine was rebult at 80k so i was expecting a little more than that.

That definitely sounds like a turbo number. Mid 16's is right for stock n/a.

ok so it sounds good for a N/A? It was hoping for more but i guess it is fine. I can't wait to do my swap now. I am hoping for low 13's after an exhaust and a FMIC and some tweeking of the computer.

i put the weight of the car into a 1/4 mile calculator, looks like you're putting 110ish hp to the ground, which is about right for not having 6 ports that work

I am going to attempt to get them to work with some WD40. I cleaned out the motor with sea foam. That worked well but i still think it is clogged with crap. I am going to try the water method next. Any suggestions?
