I need more time at the drag strip. I am rather good on the track with past experence in shifter cart racing along with back road high speed driving.

holy crap my dog can run faster then that. My miata ran faster wtf?

I was runing a 8.6 1/8th and 12.9 1/4th in one of my FCs with 7.5in street radials stock turbo 11psi in 3rd gear 8psi in 1 and 2, a 2.5in dp to 2in catback no cat 2in mufflers and a TID with FMIC.
Im sorry but you are full of ****, my bosses turbo 5.0 runs a 8.0, and he has been drag racing for years, and those times were on drag radials.

He said the 8.6 was the 1/8th, not the 1/4.

If its a turbo 5.0 running 8.0 in the 1/8th, that car sucks.

My frozen-6PI 1990 N/A GXL with rear seats and tons of crap in the car ran a 11.4 in the 1/8th mile. 8.6 with a mildly modded turbo is not much of a stretch.

There are plenty of 11 and under second Mustangs and Camaros around here, with stock or close-to stock weight. A turbo'd 5.0 should be a beast.

Again, if its an 8.0 second 1/4 mile car, I can't say anything bad. But 8.0 in the 1/8th is just sad for a boosted 5.0.

Seriously, a stock Jeep Grand Cherokee will run 10.6 in the 1/8th. I hope the mustang would be a shitload faster than that.

Okay let me rephrase that, the car is stock block stock heads, just a small cam, turbo and water/meth injection. 8.0 index still shifting the car is badass.

60' 2.338

when heating the tires
Thats why your 60ft sucked so much too, street tires dont need heat cycling, they just get oily when you do that.

kelly chargers which is the brand of tire i have (they came on the car) grip ALOT better when hot. I have proven this many of times. It may be different with about a inch of rubber on the track but when on the street they grip a hell of a lot better when hot.
