20b In A Glc

IT'S GOOD! (outside). All I have to do is pull the tape off the cell and lift the template carefully. Then I gotta get the cell in the best position under there, lay the template over it exactly centered (I've got a keyway indexing hole, which is actually the vent hole, to use for this), and start drillin'. There's just so little space to work with under there...

It rained a couple times today, and then got sunny for a bit; just long enough to dry my floor jack. So anyway I plan on sandwiching a pice of sheet metal between the brackets and the long flat bars used ot mount the fuel cell. It's the only way I'll get the cell to fit in such limited space. But then again, I really have no idea how a fuel cell is supposed to be mounted, so I'm just pretending that I know what I'm doing... for now
It'll get mounted eventually. It's just not a standard installation, as far as I know. Too bad no one arouns here has ever monted a fuel cell. If they did, I could ask some questions.
Oh yeah, I just spent some time scanning my negatives. I'll post a pic of the GLC's empty engine bay for you all to gaze upon.

Here's a sticky wicket. This car came from a wrecking yard. It needs to pass some sort of state inspection before it can be registered, tabbed, plates etc. So what should I do? It's already no longer stock with the 13B conversion. My thoughts this morning are to put a 13B in it for inspection purposes and then put the 20B in it. Is that a dumb idea? One side could argue that it's already been moddified, so what's the prob with continuing the modifications untill I'm happy with it? The other side could argue that a 20B is more difficult to deal with since no cars in the US ever came with them. Sure it could be a track-only car, but i'd rather set it up for daily driving. What should I do?
