I had no idea your dashpot was sticking. Or uh, was that just some dirty joke that totally flew over my head?

I test fitted the tranny again yesterday and it looks like the seam where the two parts meet needs to go. I wanted to keep that seam for strength.



Mike, since the GLC has the same unibody framework as an RX-3, do you think it would weaken the car's structure if I cut out several inches of the tranny tunnel? Also, the gas pedal looks like it will just squeak by the starter after cutting and hammering down in that corner.

hmmm, thats a toughie, i think if you did it right it might even help. ever notice how some cars like the gullwing mercedes and maybe the 84-90's vetter have big sills?

I guess I should just convince myself that it'll need to be welded back together by a professional. That would ease my mind. Just gotta convince myself...

And get some money.Welding doesn't come cheap.You kinda knew there would be problems with such a big engine in such a tiny car tho.
