WRT the throttle cables, how can I secure these in some way to the firewall so that they are the right length? In other words, as it stands now, they are too long! They extend well beyond the TB, making it impossible to leave them unsecured and still be able to move the throttle plates with the accelerator.

I need to somehow position these so that they are "tight," allowing the accelerator to actually do something when I press it as opposed to being flat on the floor the whole time.

i had to make a little spacer thing on the 3 rotor fc, on the accelerator end you can take up the slack and either crimp something in there, or put something over the cable to "shorten" it, i used a short length of hose over the cable to take up the slack
the timing marks on the main pulley
Recall I do not have timing marks on the main pulley .

I do, however, have marks I made to test the position of the CAS to make sure its offset was correct with the HITman's. I took the sparkplugs out and made markings when the apex seal was in the center of each spark plug hole.

At this point do I need to break down and take the front cover, water pump, etc, off the motor and make a mark on the pulley for the key on the eshaft? Or is the information I have now enough to get the car running?

In other words, if the timing marks are the least bit off, am I going to blow anything up? Or will I easily be able to fine tune the ignition using the Haltech alone?

how can you not have timing marks on the pulley? you can fine tune this in the haltech, the problem is you need to know WHERE you are fine tuning FROM

Because I'm an idiot, that's why.

I brought this up about 6 months ago. I'm not using the stock Cosmo main pulley anymore, so I have no timing marks.

The only thing I have done is make marks on the main pulley to test the CAS out. I noted (on the rear rotor) where the apex seal was dead on the leading spark plug and then the trailing spark plug.

So are you saying I need to take the pulleys off? Is the key behind that 19mm mother of a bolt or can you see it without taking that bolt off?

I don't want to tear up my motor obviously, but I don't want to do more work than is necessary.

Okay the markings on the pulley are right, and I attempted to start the motor but it appears I'm getting no spark.

I've now lost communication with the Haltech too. I was adjusting some timing values and the connection got dropped.

I can smell fuel so I know that can't be the problem, but I'm not sure about spark. I took the front leading spark plug off and tested it. What's weird is that it's getting spark when I just turn the key to ACC, not even all the way. Is that right?

you need to take a spare cas and plug it in, spin it by hand. if the haltech doesnt see rpms, you get nothing
