i think that my first gen is leaking water by the housign, or mixing with oil, how i know?

do you have to add coolant? is it an 83-85 12a?

its a 80 12A, i think that the coolent its burning out, smells bad

well you probably have a bad water seal, its like a head gasket for a piston engine. you can double check the problem by either checking for exhaust gas in the coolant, or doing a pressure test of the cooling system
